
Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Shake

This recipe was recommended by an elite high school athlete and it was well received. We've adapted it to reduce the fat content and it's still a tasty way to get some fluids and nutrients into our athlete. Quantities have been halved to make a single 22-oz serving.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Ascent chocolate protein powder approx. ½ scoop
- 1 tbsp Ghiradelli unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 small banana
- 2 tbsp smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1 cup ice cubes about 6 cubes
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to blender (add the milk last to help the powders intermingle before blending).
- Start at low speed and increase to about 30% power. Blend for 30 seconds, then increase the speed to 50% and blend for another 30 to 60 seconds or until smooth.
Turbo Instructions :
Place all ingredients in blender and blend on low for 30 seconds then high until done.
