This recipe was recommended by an elite high school athlete and it was well received. We've adapted it to reduce the fat content and it's still a tasty way to get some fluids and nutrients into our athlete. Quantities have been halved to make a single 22-oz serving.
2tbspAscent chocolate protein powderapprox. ½ scoop
1tbspGhiradelli unsweetened cocoa powder
1small banana
2tbspsmooth peanut butter
1cupskim milk
1cupice cubesabout 6 cubes
Instructions
Add all ingredients to blender (add the milk last to help the powders intermingle before blending).
Start at low speed and increase to about 30% power. Blend for 30 seconds, then increase the speed to 50% and blend for another 30 to 60 seconds or until smooth.
Turbo Instructions :
Place all ingredients in blender and blend on low for 30 seconds then high until done.
